Three Lady Rebels Compete On Day Two At USA Junior Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Three Lady Rebels competed on day two at the USA Track and Field Junior Championships in Indianapolis, Ind. The Junior Championships feature athletes ages 19-and-under.

Freshman Marlee Kevech turned in a mark of 125-03 in the finals of the women's javelin. The Washington, Pa native finished 11th overall. Kevech had a season best mark of 147-04

Freshman Lindsay Doucett turned in a time of 2:16.08 in the 1st round of the women's 800 meters. The Sulphur, La. Native finished 18th overall and did not advance. Doucett had a season best time of 2:08.07.

Freshman Kadeshia Fortune finished 21st in the women's 100 meters with a time of 11.94. The Minneapolis, Minn. did not advance. Fortune turned in a season best of 11.83.

"I am very proud of these three athletes," said Ole Miss head coach Joe Walker. "They competed very hard, and although they didn't advance they gain valuable experience on a national level."
