Rebels Drop To 11th With One Round Left To Play At 2006 SEC Championships

SEA ISLAND, Ga. -
After opening the 2006 SEC Championships with a round of 290, Ole Miss dropped to 11th place after carding a 301 on Saturday's second round of play. The Rebels will hit the links on Sunday for the final round of play at the Seaside Course at the Sea Island Golf Club.
Freshman Larry Blatt led Ole Miss on Saturday. Blatt is currently tied for 35th place after firing a 74 in the second round. His two-day total is 73-74--147. Junior Kyle Ellis and sophomore Jamie Howarth are tied for 42nd place. /Ellis turned in a 70-78--148 after two rounds, while Howarth owns a 72-76--148. Freshman Will Roebuck is tied for 47th place with his 75-75--150, while sophomore David Marino is tied for 50th place with his 75-76--151.
Georgia continues to lead in the team standings with 276-282--558, while Florida jumped into second place after turning in the day's best round of 274. The Gators are just one stroke back of the Bulldogs at 559 with 18 holes left to play.
Matthew Swan of Alabama moved into the top medalist position after carding a 67. Swan leads with his 68-67--135. Kevin Kisner of Georgia and Bret Stegmaier of Florida are in second place three strokes back of Swan at 138.
