Armintie Price Slated To Speak At Laurel-Jones County Public Library Thursday

Price will speak and take questions regarding her fitness regime.

LAUREL, Miss. - Ole Miss women's basketball rising senior Armintie Price will be one of the featured speakers at Thursday's Get Real, Get Fit program held at the Laurel-Jones County Public Library in Laurel. Price is slated to speak at 6 p.m., regarding her fitness regimen and how she got involved in athletes. She will take questions from those in attendance following her speech.

Price, a two-time First Team All-SEC selection and 2006 WBCA/Kodak All-America finalist, will be followed in the program by a trainer from South Central Regional Medical Centers Wellness Center who will be on hand to do a brief body fat assessment. A healthy snack will be served as well as part of the final Get Real, Get Fit program of the spring.

The evening will conclude with an In the Mix (PBS award series) segment focusing on teens and health. The segment addresses exercise, dietary habits and demonstrates label reading to determine nutritional content. The program is sponsored by a grant from MetLife Foundation and Libraries for the Future.
