Lady Rebels In 11th Place At SunTrust Lady Gator Invitational Heading Into Final Round

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -
The Ole Miss women's golf team sits in 11th place in the team standings after the first day of competition at the SunTrust Lady Gator Invitational behind freshman Dori Carter's 74-75--149 performance. Carter is in a tie for 16th place in the individual standings with her 5-over-par total in the first two rounds at the University of Florida Golf Course.
Fellow freshman Rachel Ingram is the next Lady Rebel in the individual standings with her two-round total of 78-79--157. Ingram is in a tie for 41st place. Junior Katie Davidson and senior Laura Evans are right behind Ingram. The duo are tied for 50th place. Davidson turned in a 80-78--158, while Evans was right there with her 81-77--158.
Sophomore Katherine Jones and senior Sarah Kate Cousart posted identical 80-82--162 scores on Saturday. The pair are tied for 65th place, however, Cousart is playing as an individual and does not count toward the team total.
The host Lady Gators lead the team standings after two rounds of play with a 289-294--583. Purdue is 10 strokes behind Florida and second place in the standings with a 289-304--593. Alabama is in third with its 300-297--597.
Mallory Blackwelder of Florida and Lisbeth Meincke of Georgia State are tied at 1-under-par 143 after two rounds of play.
Play will resume Sunday with the final round of play in the tournament. Teams are slated to tee off at 8 a.m. (EST).
