Lady Rebels In 15th After First Round Of Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic

ATHENS, Ga. -
The Ole Miss women's golf team is in a tie for 15th place after carding a 324 in the first round of the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic on Friday. Junior Katie Davidson led the Lady Rebels with a 78 over the first 18 holes of play.
Seniors Sarah Kate Cousart and Laura Evans posted an 80 and an 81, respectively, in the first round, while freshmen Rachel Ingram and Dori Carter rounded out the scoring for Ole Miss as both shot an 85 on Friday.
Wake Forest stands on top of the team standings after the first round, firing a 298 and has a three shot lead over second-place and host team Georgia. Georgia senior Jackie Beers shot the only round below par Friday, firing a 69 and has a three shot lead in the individual standings.
Second round action will begin Saturday morning at 8 a.m. (CST) with a first-tee format. Sunday's final round will also begin at 8 a.m. (CST), but will begin with a shotgun start.
